Pink Noise Professionals and Computer Ware India work together to deliver premium meeting room solutions that support global connectivity and collaboration.
In today’s digital age, effective communication stands as the cornerstone of organisational success. Recognising this fundamental truth, the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) embarked on a journey to enhance its communication infrastructure.
Given CDRI’s position as an international beacon of collaboration, the organisation acknowledged the urgent need to bolster its communication capabilities to facilitate seamless collaboration and enhance organisational resilience. This was especially important, considering that CDRI employees collaborated frequently with its dispersed teams operating in various locations around the world.
For this project, Pink Noise Professionals and Computer Ware India were appointed as the systems integrators. Shailesh Awasthi, director of sales and technical, from Pink Noise Professionals, details how the two companies got onboard the project: “Computer Ware India primarily works on the IT side, and they had been providing IT and computer support to CDRI. As such, CDRI had engaged Computer Ware India to work on the AV upgrading as well. Since the Computer Ware India team were familiar with our expertise, they reached out to us for assistance. Given our industry experience and strong market contacts, they recognised us as professionals in conference room solutions. The reference to our high-quality equipment prompted them to engage us for this project.”
From old to gold
CDRI encountered a range of challenges in its quest to foster seamless virtual collaboration across its worldwide team.
The existing communication infrastructure was marred by obsolescence, leading to compromised quality and limited functionality for remote meetings, presentations, and training sessions. Shailesh elaborates: “Computer Ware India identified that CDRI had an underutilised and outdated conference room lacking in technology and essential features. They directly engaged Computer Ware India to upgrade the conference room, enabling it to be utilised for digital meetings, video conferences as well as local, in-person conferences.”
As the demand for remote interactions continue to surge, CDRI sought a robust solution to ensure superior performance and easy integration with existing systems in the 20-seater meeting room.
High quality audio was considered a top priority for the client. In this vein, Pink Noise Professionals chose to deploy Clockaudio CRM 102 cardioid condenser boundary layer microphones, complemented by an Erthpot Arche wireless microphone system. To ensure that high-fidelity audio is delivered with an even coverage throughout the meeting room, the team installed Work Pro Neo 5 loudspeakers and PA 1254 amplifiers. An Erthpot Keyer 1616 DSP was added to fully support these solutions.
Shailesh elaborates on the choice of these audio solutions: “Across the solutions we chose to implement, the common denominator was that they were able to provide high-quality audio output and crystal-clear sound which would create an immersive meeting experience for the participants in the room. We also had to meticulously plan the audio solutions in line with the acoustic conditions of the room, and these products were able to seamlessly integrate into the existing infrastructure of the room. Through careful coordination and testing, the implementation process was smooth and efficient so as to minimise disruption to daily operations.”
On the visual side, Pink Noise Professionals opted to go with projectors from Panasonic as well an Ever camera for videoconferencing needs. Shailesh explains why: “With the Panasonic projector, we could seamlessly insert it into the ceiling without having it jut out in a way that could be unsightly. This choice was made to maintain the room’s aesthetics while still providing a sizable display for presentations and meetings. Moreover, Panasonic’s projectors are known for their reliability and quality. The projector screen is a locally branded option, chosen for its compatibility as a display.”
Surmounting challenges
All projects come with their fair share of challenges, and the upgrade at CDRI saw a significant structural challenge. Shailesh expounds on this: “The space itself was really old and in dire need of renovation, particularly the ceiling. The false ceiling was totally damaged and unable to support any fixtures such as speakers or lights. So, keeping the acoustic requirements of the room in mind, CDRI went ahead to renovate the entire room in order to enhance the overall aesthetics and functionality of the space. Our initial recommendation to CDRI emphasised the importance of addressing these structural issues to ensure that the room’s aesthetics would meet the desired standards. Upon completion of the renovation works, we were called in to integrate the AV solutions seamlessly into the newly upgraded space – which then became a breeze.”
Moreover, Pink Noise Professionals and Computer Ware India recognised that for the potential and benefits of the new communication infrastructure to be fully maximised, educating the employees was paramount. Shailesh says: “We were given the opportunity to train the CDRI employees on how to utilise the videoconferencing room effectively. Team CDRI worked alongside us during the trainings. During the training sessions, we were also able to provide ongoing technical support to address any concerns or issues promptly.”
Shailesh adds: “With the audio and visual solutions deployed, CDRI’s teams are now empowered to seamlessly conduct virtual meetings, presentations, and training sessions, regardless of geographical constraints. The new AV system has fostered more engaging and productive interactions among employees, nurturing a culture of collaboration and innovation. Most importantly, with the new system in place, the client can rest assured that the solutions equipped are future-ready, and that the new tech infrastructure can adapt to future technological advancements and communication needs.”
Shailesh remarks: “On the day of the project handover, CDRI had scheduled an external meeting right after in the meeting room. This is a testament to their trust in the work we provided as there was no need for multiple troubleshooting, nor were there lags or problems with the installation. The client was very happy with the outcome of the project, and we were pleased to work with Computer Ware India to deliver utmost satisfaction to the client.”
Anil Mangla, director at Computer Ware India, concluded: “We are proud to have collaborated with Pink Noise Professionals on the CDRI project, providing our expertise in video systems implementation. Our dedicated team worked diligently to ensure the seamless integration of advanced video technologies to meet the project’s requirements.
