Case Study: Acts of Christ church, Thailand

Mahajak talks about its first church installation and how it managed to provide the right AV systems to meet the needs of the project.

Thailand may be known as a country with a rich Buddhist history and culture but that does not mean it lacks representation of other faiths. The Acts of Christ church is located in Bangkok’s suburbs and the two storey structure houses a nursery, playground, primary classrooms, secondary classrooms, library and bookshop and a convention hall on the second floor. In order to better serve its congregation the church decided to invest in AV systems.

Atkrist Co. was the consultant for the project, with Mahajak Development serving as the system integrator responsible for deploying and commissioning the AV systems. The project began in February 2015 and was completed in June 2016 with a total outlay of 5,490,000 million Thai Baht [approximately USD 158,580].

Acts of Christ church had a clear idea of the performance levels it expected from the AV systems and Apisit Kruachaem, project sales engineer at Mahajak, says: “For the sound system the emphasis was to be on sermons by lay preachers. But the system also had to support music and additionally we also had to record the sermons every week so that the church could publicise them on its website. The visual system had to be able to live stream content to any room.”
